Getting started
What is a MyCare ID?
A MyCare ID is your personal health identity on MetaCura. It holds every record you add, keeps them on one timeline, and is the thing you share when a clinician or family member needs access. Creating one is free and takes about a minute.
How do I add my first record?
Open Upload and pick a PDF, photo, or scan of any medical document, or point your phone camera at a paper report. MetaCura reads it, files it on your timeline, and explains what each value means. A typical lab report is ready in under 5 seconds.
Do I need an account to try MetaCura?
No. The live demo at /demo runs a real lab report through MetaCura with no sign-up and no card. You only need an account when you want to save your own records.
Your records
What document types can MetaCura read?
Lab panels, CT, MRI and ultrasound reports, ECGs, prescriptions, discharge summaries, doctor notes, and DICOM imaging files, more than 8 document types in total. Scans and phone photos work as well as digital PDFs.
What happens if a document cannot be read?
MetaCura keeps the document on your timeline and flags it so you can re-send a clearer copy. It never guesses at values it could not read.
Can I delete a record I uploaded?
Yes, at any time. A deleted record leaves your timeline immediately and is permanently removed within 30 days. You get a confirmation once it is gone.
Privacy and access
Is my health data used to train AI models?
No. Your records are never used to train any model and are never sold. They are encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per patient, and every access is written to an audit log you can read.
Can I give a doctor or family member access?
Yes. Share a time-boxed link with granular consent, read-only by default, revocable at any moment. Every disclosure appears in your audit trail.
Is MetaCura HIPAA compliant?
Yes. MetaCura handles Protected Health Information under HIPAA safeguards: encryption in transit and at rest, per-patient isolation, least-privilege access, and full audit logging.
Export and billing
How do I export my records?
PDF export is available on every tier, including the free one. Insights and Second Opinion also export FHIR R4, a structured, standards-based copy any provider or app can import. There is no fee and no support ticket.
How much does MetaCura cost?
MetaCura is pay-as-you-go. Basic is free forever and includes 50 record inputs and one health summary. An Insights report is $2 and a Second Opinion report is $4. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
How do refunds work?
There is nothing to cancel, because you only pay when you buy a report. If a report fails to render or the analysis does not complete, we rerun it or refund it.
